Strengths
I am well experienced in the Animation Industry as an Artist, Animator, Supervisor, and Director and have worked in every step of the process from Cel Painting to Directing and from Animator to Creative Producer.
My strengths and passions lie in the creative side of animation, working with art and artists. I also have years of experience being involved with the production side of the industry, developing workflow pipelines, scheduling, implementing software, hiring, and training.
I am comfortable animating at a broadcast level in ToonBoom Harmony, Adobe Animate, and Adobe After Effects. I also have production experience animating in Unity (2D) and Spline (including art creation and rigging).
I have experience as an Animation Supervisor on multiple 3D productions created in Maya. I am currently learning Blender 3D.
I have worked on over 30 multi-episode TV series in various roles and numerous specials, shorts, web, and educational animations. I have supervised crews of up to 80 artists and am experienced working with outsourcing studios.
I have production experience creating a Unity Idle game from concept to launch including development and creation of Plot Point storytelling and most in-game and promotional animation.
I am comfortable and experienced in meeting and working with clients as well as mentoring and supervising animators.
I have extensive teaching experience; this has given me good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to help get the best work possible from the crews working with me. I have taught at numerous schools including 4 years as Head Animation Instructor at Vancouver Film School, Classical and 3D departments.
